freshened up one of my first bass builds. rock hard maple thru neck, tigerwood finger board, added lace humbucker,(bar type. no poles), gold strings, new wiring. antique box so fragile i filled space with glued maple blocks, glued top down. big mistake for refit.

thanks pick. sound is great. this photo is test strings. put gold strings on, look awesome, but they are for regular bass, not short scale. when i brought them up to pitch they were so tight they were scary.
thank you 43rd. yes, the woodburner is very useful, and for fret markers even better than countersunk screws. even works for tattoos, albeit a bit painful for a bit.
