"OLD TIMEY" BACK PORCH CBG AMP

I bought a "Tone Monster MAH 5 " (5watt) amplifier kit to use with an old box i've had hanging around for many months - said kit comes with two 4 ohm speakers and printed circuit all wired up and ready to fit - On/Volume. 5 amp selector switch, Indicator lamp, Tone pot, Headphone socket and MP3 socket (!!??)..the little amp sounds good and bassy with wicked distortion channel, nice on clean! I bought the speaker grilles seperately, the knobs are from my odd knob box and the handle came off my Marshall acoustic amp...very pleased with the result...possibly a demo to follow ! (-;

  • Nice job Steve, I did a very similar build a couple of weeks ago and I am really happy with the results. One thing I did a little different is I put a couple 1-3/4" ports on the ends and covered them with some sink drain covers I got at a local flea market. The ports really added a lot of bass tone.
