7 cracks cleeted. A 30's Hawaiian guitar. Tuned C6 with a custom made up set of strings. She sounds beautiful with loads of sustain. All solid wood (cracks to prove it). The back is still rough, but some tlc and a polish will bring it around.

Hey Wes, ya the vintage tuner law. Last one strung and tuned to the desired note will always break. Lucky there is a fix for such a thing. Still costs you strings..... Good luck with the tune up.....
Thanks Uncle John. I think the rosewood pick guard adds the class. Very dark tobacco burst is a hallmark of old Oahu guitars. The vintage black buttons and tuners are the top tippers....
Thanks Wes. You'd have to pry it out of my hands right now. Sure sounds sweet. My mixmatched string set works good for the C6. A standard set of cheap Martin acoustics and two substitutions did the trick. The set had a 13, 17, 26 and 36. The extras added 22, 28. So it's 13, 17, 22, 26, 28, 36. It seemed to tune up without undue strain on the strings or tuners.
Hey Better, thanks. It's the only spot free of snow. We got 6 inches yesterday, but the sun and 50 degrees took it away today. There's a glimmer of green in the old twigs. The Oahu did like sun bathing for the shots. I was wearing my Hawaiian shirt...

Love this one. Understated. Handsome. Dark.
6 inches yesterday? Wow. It was pushing 80 here.
I just wanted to say that your background is perfect for this git. It looks good on pebbles.
