Looking good Robert. Here's my observations. I would angle the nut slots to aim them at the pegs the string will attach to. Yours are lined up in a strait row. Your first and 6th strings are pinching in their slots. Also the tail piece has the string holes higher than they should be. There is very little string angle from the tail to the bridge. This means the strings aren't pushing down on the bridge as hard as they should. The volume suffers due to lack of string angle. Your uke is very beautiful. A classic!
This is based on one of the plans here on this site. It is yet to be completed. The 1922 Mandolin, plans show a 5 string, well I have added an additional string. At the moment it is acoustic only but will probably add a piezo device later.
