New Tool

Started installing a new tool for my shop. I scored this planer from a friend. He only wants a little of my help rebuilding an electric chisel in return for it. This unit is really heavy duty and came with a 3/4hp motor. It has a three blade drum and both tables are adjustable, except I see someone locked the outfeed table in place. I can remove the screw and install a handwheel lock like the infeed side. The blades were still sharp when I tried it out. This will be a great addition to my little finish planer I've been overworking.

      I'll have to make a swinging guard for it. I can model one after the one on my hobby plane, just a little bigger.

    the outfeed table should be set with the very top of the planer blade and locked in place, the back table is then adjusted to  the amount of stock you want to cut. Nice looking machine .enjoy
