Mine get a smooth as glass sanding process as the last part of making the slide, Then I wipe lemon oil on the wood top and buff the whole slide. When you rub your finger over the outside of the slide you can`t feel the glue joint between the wood and bone. The wood top produces a more mellow sound then the brighter bone bottom, so your actually getting 2 slides in one.
That lucky dog. Hey. Pick beat me to saying that. Well, we both mean it. Gorgeous.
Randy, I picked up your Maddog's slide from you at KC fest and admired it, but for some dumb reason, never tried it on a git. Next time Maddog and I get together, I am going to try one.
I made a bone slide today. I'd never used one. It sounds good. Mine does not look so good. The bone is too big and mis-shaped. I hope to find a better bone - and maybe even order a fancy one from you some time.
