A friend picked this rather snazzy old radio at a jumble sale for £4 for me. I'm going to look into the possibility of turning it into an amp.

Yep. it was you and you sounded great. I was mistakenly listening to the first Dylan download and not the 2nd and current one. That's me. A day late and a dollar short.
Thanks, John. Although, I'm rather surprised, as I didn't submit a song for the Dylan II project. I'd love to take credit, but I think your kind words need to go to someone else. I'll have to download the album and see who's nicked my mojo.
Yup. I see the pick clearly now. Could not see it the first time and was puzzled. Man, the radio looks great. Hedley, I just heard your track on the Dylan II CD. Magnificent.
Yeah, the head stock looks a little strange in the photo. This is due to a pale plectrum being slotted under the strings behind the nut on the left, and the button strap being threaded behind the strings above the nut.
The radio is in working order, but could do with an aerial. I've not really had a close look at it yet, but it seems to have an input in the back. I'll know a little more in the morning when I get the back off it. I'm a little concerned about the dangers of electric shocks from tube amps, so I'll be throwing some questions around later for some safety dos and don'ts.

John, I'm going to have a listen to see which one you mistook for me.
Between you and me...which song did you think it was?

uncle john, i thought there was something weird about the headstock too, but if you look close, it's just the guitar strap,,
Nice stuff and setting. Interesting head stock.

valve radio, good score, you might be able to use some of the gut's to make a nice valve amp, they alway's sound better than solid state one's,
