New Life For Old Reverb Tank

Here's another shot of the reverb fix for my Peavey Bandit 65.See the other picture for more details. The red circles show where I glued the spring coils together. I held the coils together, applied about an inch-long bead of super glue and sprinkled baking soda on it. I held it until the glue dried and gave it another coat. If you do this DO NOT glue the transducers. I put the reverb tank back in the amp and it works flawlessly. Reverb was totally unusable until this fix. I have a new tank ordered, but may just see how long this repair works. If you have a tank that's unusable then this might be a quick and cheap solution for you. Enjoy!

  • Thanks Uncle John.  I've been playing it all afternoon. It sure brought the old Peavey to life.

  • Nice repair, Mike.
