Neck angle.

This photo tries to show the box to neck angle that I most often use. Just a bit of down angle of the neck coming out of the box and that also means, that the neck is not touching the sound board except some times at the tail piece area.

  • Do you aim for a certain bridge height with the neck angle?

  • Yes, it is.

  • That's a good tip as it means the soundboard is free to resonate across its whole (or most of its) surface area. Not only will it produce the maximum amplitude but also the resonance patterns will be optimal (depending on what under soundboard barring you use).

I assume the front support is lower than the rear by a small dimension?
