My first two

My first two 3 strings, fret less. I used a gold leaf pen to draw the frets and then lacquered over it. Getting the piezo to sound right was trying. I finally glued a block over it to calm it down.My next will have 4 strings and frets....

  • Thanks guys. I took them to the local Sunday Market today and they attracted a lot of attention. Everybody wanted to pick them up. I took a little battery operated "Blues Jr." copy amp and it didn't sound all that bad.
    The next ones will have frets (I used a gold leaf pen to draw these in) and probably an adjustable bridge. I'm also going to try a magnetic pup to see if it mellows the sound at all. I'm also thinking about taking those $20 battery operated amps they sell at G.Center and sticking the guts in a Cbox for ambiance.....
    I'm finding some amazing deals on E-Bay for parts. But I love the whole vibe on these guitars. There is a Bass and a Uke on the horizon too....Ciao
