Mountain Dulcimer

Might not meet a strict definition of a cigar box instrument. But considering how it was constructed, to me it is pretty close. All of the work was done using hand tools, except a battery powered drill to cut a few holes. The top and bottom are 1/8" birch plywood from a local craft store. The sides are 1.5"x1/4" poplar from a big box hardware store. The fingerboard is a strip of wenge. The fret markers are 6mm abalone. It has two pickups. A four pole, single coil pickup and a piezo.
