notice the color change in the middle -- I used a spray and it ran and took off the stain in the middle (I opened the lide so it wouldn't stick). So after that I went with a can and a brush to seal it.

    The eyelets where the strings come out, I got them at walmart in the sewing department. It was a small bag of several different colors and only cost a couple of dollars.

    The sound holes are Tent/Tarp Grommets I got at Harbor Freight. I used Super Glue to hold them in place, because the wood was too deep to put then back side of the grommet on.

    I like the slanted bridgeplate - nice touch. What kinda ringlets are you using for soundholes?
