The CornHusker plate is identical to the one I sent PaPaHogg Paul Smith so Paul's git has a brother now :-) This photo is on the front porch of our Antique/CBG store hence the old sled. I am not planning any sledding trips, it was a 100 degrees yesterday :-/

  • My Grandad had a sheller that ran off a belt that was powered by the 1939 John Deere Model B that I still have. Dangerous!!!

Thanks RTZ! I build them to withstand some years hopefully :-)

  • The beef state is a cool guitar really cool, I got to build some me some necks like your they look like that last for ever. Good stuff Maddog

  • Feeling cranky, RTZ?   That is an old corn sheller.   Used to be a lot of farmers around here with less than ten fingers.  You can imagine why.

Pat, Both gits are nice but the old black one you are keeping is just what it is - a keeper.

  • No Paul didn't get the "Beef State", it's a Black Plate. Paul got the plate identical to this plate except his is 25 county instead of 24. This one is NFS, it's the brother to the one Paul built with the plate I sent him and someday we're gonna get these 2 brothers together  :-)

    Here's the Beef State Reso:

Thanks Ted! Hope I didn't scare you with the photo of the "real" me lol. I love the movie Jeremiah Johnson, the old photo I had on my page was a man by the name of John Johnston. The movie Jeremiah Johnson was based on Johnston's life in the 1800's.

  • Maddog,   I always pictured you the way you looked in your old Maddog icon every time you wrote something. It's good to see you....and that's is one nice CBG you have there.!!

  • @ Hound & Dog.   :)

  • Thanks John, I got about as close to the Mountains as  flatland Nebraska boy should get I suppose :-)

I hear ya Steve, I am the same when it comes to quotes from the movie :-)

JJ: "Where is it I could find bear, beaver and other critters worth cash money when skinned?"

Robidoux: "Ride due west as the sun sets, turn left at the Rocky Mountains."
