Women, man. Ha ha Thats awesome Gitty! Del is without a doubt one of the greatest, if not the greatest, bluegrass musicians ever! Has anybody heard his album with Steve Earle? The Mountain? Anybody?
Yeah he seemed like a nice guy. It was late by the time he got to the signing tent - about 12:30 AM I think. He was the last show. But he still shook everybody's hand, and signed everything that anyone wanted signed. He even talked to some kids who were doing a "documentary" about Bluegrass with their little camcorder. They asked him who he'd want to form a band with, if he could have anyone. He said Bill Monroe - Bill playing, and him singing. I just kinda hung out on the sidelines listening.
He probably would have hung out longer, but his wife made it clear it was time to go.
