    Thanks Boogie Man! This is a very sturdy cedar box, almost 3/8" thick sides with 1/8" plywood bottom. Top is almost 1/2" thick (1/4" cedar plus 1/4" particle board filler) so it doesn't reverberate too well, pretty mellow acoustic wise, BUT... plugged in it screams! I've got it strung with the wound strings from a set of 6, I've been alternating between standard (EAD) and open D (DAd) tuning
