  • Good on you Thomas.   Good duty in that time and place.

  • My "Army job" was Marine Diesel Mechanic, so once I got out of training school they OJT'd me as a Crane/Shovel Operator and I never saw another boat until I got to scenic South East Asia where all I did was ride them back and forth to the Merchant Marine ammo ships that we unloaded. Thanks to Charley, our company didn't have any cranes so I ran the cargo winches on the ships. That was a hundred years or so ago. Now I just tinker with hotrods and build CBGs. :)>

  • I am sure that is true Thomas!   As far as I know, the Army job as mess kit repairman was fictitious.  It was the guy who repaired the field eating utensils.   You will have to repair your own mess, Thomas.

  • (•‿-)

  • Hey, I've always been good at making a mess. Just ask my wife.

  • Clock, shall we enlist on the buddy plan?   Infantry?   Cooks?   Remington's Raiders (typists) or maybe mess kit repairmen.

  • (-‿-)oh yeah!!!

  • How about a nice cup of Twang?
