My "Army job" was Marine Diesel Mechanic, so once I got out of training school they OJT'd me as a Crane/Shovel Operator and I never saw another boat until I got to scenic South East Asia where all I did was ride them back and forth to the Merchant Marine ammo ships that we unloaded. Thanks to Charley, our company didn't have any cranes so I ran the cargo winches on the ships. That was a hundred years or so ago. Now I just tinker with hotrods and build CBGs. :)>
I am sure that is true Thomas! As far as I know, the Army job as mess kit repairman was fictitious. It was the guy who repaired the field eating utensils. You will have to repair your own mess, Thomas.

Good on you Thomas. Good duty in that time and place.

Hey, I've always been good at making a mess. Just ask my wife.
Clock, shall we enlist on the buddy plan? Infantry? Cooks? Remington's Raiders (typists) or maybe mess kit repairmen.
(-‿-)oh yeah!!!
How about a nice cup of Twang?
