Magnetic&transducer Mixing Guitar

25in. Cohiba box w/Koa veneer top. Koa neck curly head stock, maple fretboard. Gitty 4 post mag. pickup and Piezo rod in Koa brigde. Grover tuners. Both pickups have vol. controls and are switchable. Temp. wiring but you can see the tone caps. on the switch. The best tone cap. I found for the 4 post pickup are 101 and 102 Fender style caps. they used in the 50's and 60's. The 101 make the mag. sound just like the piezo so I used the 102 which has a smoother sound. The piezo has a 86.

  • We don't flash here  John just search for sound.

  • thats neat!

  • I'd bet on it being functional and sounding and playing great.  I was just poorly saying that I like it and that it is handsome without being overly flashy.  Great job.

  • I like to think it's funktional John, you'll hear acoustic and electric tones. I could go without vol. controls but you kind of need them when both pickups are on to mix the sound.

  • Wow!  Looking good and some pretty woods.  You probably know I don't like fancy for my own players.   This one kind of walks a line of rich, warm and classy more so than fancy.
