An old school trick to add sustain to a build was adding weight to the peghead, you should try inlaying a few of those fishing weights in a peghead on a future build. You`ll be surprised with the sound you`ll get from it.
Sounds like a plan then John, we should probably bring a few CBG's with in the boat and find a nice sandbar and do some pickin' with toes in the sand :-) We damn near could of been out there today, we had 65 degrees here.
Rob and John, I enjoy making these weights. It's something different to do but in the winter the lead fumes can get to be a bit much :-( I usually start the wood burner and stoke it up good and hot and then open a few windows in the cabin. I make them outside on the porch in the summer. The weights good sellers at flea markets too.
I have a friend here in Blair that made toy soldiers out of lead when we were kids, he had the molds for all the different poses. Imagine making toys out of lead these days :-/
