I was saddened to hear of the passing of Johnny Winter.
Although he lived to be 70 it still seems like it wasn't long enough. I guess it never is. I had the great opportunity to see him perform on the legendary rhythm and blues Cruise in 2013. During an autograph session he showed up early and I brought a Cigarbox amp that I had made for just an occasion. I set it down in front of him and he leaned in to take a good look. He pulled his pin to sign it looking for a good spot and said wow what is this. I told him it was a 2w Cigarbox amplifier I had constructed and brought on board for photographs. He said cool man really cool. I opened it up and show him the inside and of course he took a close look and said again that's really cool man I thanked him and walked off . What an honor it was to meet such a tremendous bluesman. R.I.P. Another man done gone....
