I also think I'm going to take out the aluminum brace from under the bridge. I was worried about string tension depressing the lid, but given the shallow angle to the tail piece I'm less concerned. Right now the tin doesn't resonate as well as I expected.
A Couple more views of the Vader Guitar. I have a small wiring problem to fix on the blend pot. Just need two minutes of free time. Right now, only the neck pup works and no sound from the strat pup inside the tin. Newb mistake of grounding the pups on the blend pot lugs instead of the back of the master volume pot.
The neck pup height is adjustable and I can play it all the way up to the 2nd to last fret. I could get it a little closer to the strings and still play to the 17th fret or so.
Also my first scarf joint. I'm pretty happy with it.
Thanks Uncle John. Not sure of the string brand, but it took awhile to find them. Credit the idea to Dr. A Pick, Guitar PhD.
Elmar, it sounds great with your pup. I could get it a little closer to the strings as I made the mounting plate adjustable. I haven't had much chance to play with it. I finished Saturday night and left for Boston Sunday morning. It is calling me back home. I love your pups and will order a few more.

Pretty nice. What are those strings, Red Ryder?
