These are the loudest boxes I have used. This is my third. Tone is pretty good too. The top is actually the inside of the lid ~ flipped over. This box was kind of rough so the git was made intending to look like a well used & loved relic player. Disclaimor: This instrument was never used by Micheal Jackson and is not represented as such.
