Lefty Headless Panhander 3-String Guitar

20.1” Scale Length, GDG, Steel strings, necked mounted piezo pickup, fabric covered headstock and guitar cutout. Neck took 2 Lowe’s Yardsticks with about 3/4” left over. All grey parts are 3D printed. Headless tuners are working pretty good so far. Sounds best plugged in!

  • Thanks Uncle John! Normally headless guitars/basses don’t have anything like a peg head, however, if I did that where would I attach my clip on tuner? The screw heads are too large to arrange parallel to the frets and get a straight string pull through, so I went with the angle. I 3D printed a drilling guide, so the holes would line up the way I wanted them to. I design my guitars to fit in tenor or baritone ukulele gig bags. They are inexpensive and readily available. TMI? Probably!

  • Love that peg head, even if it is not exactly a peg head.
  • Thanks again BrianQ! My wife is a quilter, so I have spent a considerable amount of time in stores with fabric. There are some really cool designs in fabric, so why not take advantage of the great artwork.

  • The fabric really adds a different kind of dimension!
