  Thanks Uncle John, I still have the old one, but it cracked stem to stern a few years into it. The stem has a wonderful structure of ribs and coverings, something like a stick built airplane. Very strong yet light.

  I reamed out a big one a few years ago and used it for a digeridoo..... It worked great. I used a hot poker to burn out the pith.... :*)

  Hi Uncle John, i've got a garden full of guys like this. We've been staking them up. Good year for the garden as long as we keep hauling water....
