Got ya Bluesheart, its airbrushed. Just masking tape on my fret lines and white laytex sprayed along the edge. the tonal fading makes it look like scallops. This is my 3rd try at this technique. I've not seen it on any other guitar so far, but i suppose it has been done by others. I used to be a graphic designer and illustrator. Airbrush comes in handy sometimes...
