    Just realised - they are 1/8", not 3/8"!!

    Much as I would love to have come up with something so inventive, I cant take any credit - though its a great idea and I hope some of you do use your spare string ends! These are just 3/8" eyelets my Mrs brought back from the haberdashery / sewing type shop - got a box of 100 so Im using them as fret markers, string guides, v small sound hole gromits....

    I think you're the first person I've seen come up with a use for the string ends. Great idea. That carving looks awesome as well.
