4 string GDgB tuning with Poplar neck and Red Oak fret board and bridge. nut and saddle are both made from Corian. Neck has a double taper and is set @ 1,5 degree angle. Jumbo frets with a aluminum angle tailpiece. Ernie Ball regular Slinky Nickel wound strings 13-17-26-36. Piezo disc set in wood mounted under bridge inside box. 24inch scale length. 1/4" disc cut from guitar pick for fret markers.

Thanks Bluesheart...........no, actually the tailpiece is just mounted to the top with 3 tuner screws. I was concerned about them pulling out under tension on a 4 string but it is rock solid. I don't think I would try it on a thin top, but this box has a 1/4" thick top so I went for it.............so far so good. but you could easily put longer screws into the neck ;-)
Thanks Pick..................yeah, I wanted to try a few things new on this one so I tapered the neck sides and back and added some angle to it. First time using Corian for a nut and saddle so wasn't sure how it was going to sound since I usually use bone.................it is easier to work with and I can't tell a lot of difference in the sound. But then, I don't hear that well anyways if you ask my wife ;-)

I kind of like the idea of anchoring the strings to the top ( I assume also to the neck inside?). Bet it sounds great, ask your wife!
