LOL...if you can get her in the studio before me you have some talent. 8), I had thought of doing the photo in layers like on thin strips of wood to create illusion of 3-d, but I work so slow as it is it might be too much. I am also hiding a 6 string pup under the lid with 4 posts poking through and a tenor scale length. Good to hear, these are cool boxes.
Actually, I don't think the window in that one rattled at all. I believe that particualr CBG is hanging on the wall at Speal's Tavern right now. I now have 4 or 5 of those boxes, and had toyed with the same idea of putting some type of artwork behind the window. It never dawned on me to call Colin's wife. :-) Just kidding...LOL
You could also do some type of 3D diorama with little minature characters that is viewable through the window.
Nice build, did you do extra window stability? If not how is the sound? Does it rattle? I might have to put extra glue behind the glass for stability. this is the same type of box that Josh was giving away a year ago (+-). I have one and am in the process of getting the wife to do some pin up photos, and do a "pent-in the box" build. Even with a curtain so she can have modesty.
I actually just found another one of these boxes, and am pondering how I can do something different with it. I think I might make a removable panel, kind of like the back of a picture frame, and make it so that a custom picture can be displayed in the clear window.
