I was expecting to have some feedback problems, but was pleasantly surprised when there was actually less feedback than with the piezo discs. I am still experimenting with these, so I may try something different with the next one.
Thanks, all. It sounds pretty good with the pup-under-the-lid rig. Its just a single coil with a 250k pot. I might try a 500k pot on the next one. I think it's all about mounting it so it's as close to the inside of the lid as possible. But to be honest, the ones I've built with neck-embeded dual 20mm piezo discs sound just as good.

The cans I've tried with internal magnetic pickups had serious feedback issues but sounded cool. How'd it go for you?

I love the neck which is a lovely choice of contrasting woods.
Interesting with the pickup sensing the can vibrations rather than the strings. How does it sound?

Another sharp lookin build Max !!
Very cool, pretty and just cool. The only thing I can see that falls short of perfection is one too many strings for my likes..
A BEAUTY!
