  • I know what you are saying.  At least some of the time, I get one 'done' and just don't want to mess with it anymore.  Would rather build a new one.  But also, I always have spot with usually 2-3 that need changes or improvements.   Sometimes I get in the mood and really enjoy improving them.  And sometimes it gets frustrating.

Easy enough to stick a piezo under that plate.

And the action, it looks like all you would need to do is lower that nut.  I often have to do that.  For string height, we tend to like different things.   I like to do some fingering and still be able to slide.  I like about 4mm from the fretboard to the top of the string at the 3rd fret and 6-7mm at the 12th.

  • Thanks! Sounds good.  Action's a little high, but I'm more of a learn-your-lesson, apply-it-next-time guy than a I-don't-like-it, gotta-fix-this-one guy.  I'm planning to try my luck with a piezo- in part because it makes a great drum and I want to play it through an amp!

  • Yup,   Looks great front and back.   I really like the headstock.   How's it sound?    I like piezos in CBGs, but had not the greatest luck with them on LPGs and went to mag pups on them.   The more I look, the more I like.
