Isidoreas "Traveller" with Beer Bottle Cap S-Coil Pickup - A short scale build (just over 18 and a quarter inches from nut to bridge) utilising a small vintage "Isidoreas" cigar box. Neck is made from Iroko wood, cut from an old mantelpiece which I lightly stained, fretted and "darkened" at both ends. I bought an "Experimental" Single Coil pickup from Elmar "Flatpup" made from a beer bottle cap, 3 neodymium magnets and copper wound 3500 turns. I made the tailpiece from a piece of brass. Tuning is normal-D, normal-A and high-D, giving a pretty taut string action - plays fret or slide. It's a sturdy instrument and a light "traveller".

Sturdy and rustic looking Bob Negus ! on the picture it looks like the box is covered whit leather or cloth? Intreaging Pick up Indeed ,tree magnets and some copper wire ! but it does the bissenis! Ambrose style !
Thanks AGP (sorry about the blank comment below - itchy index finger!) I spotted these on Elmar's site. It has presence for it's size and looks and sounds really good with this set up. I've been composing a few things for a while, so maybe I should make some time and start putting something on vid.
Thank you again Elmar, another marvelous Flatpup product! I've still got some F-Pups I bought from you to incorporate into future builds. All the best!

Thanks for liking the little Traveller Ray.
Hi Andries, It's just an age-worn wooden cigar box. I'm very impressed with this pickup from Elmar "Flatpup".
