Viola in progress. I worked on the top and back again today. Sneaking up on the thinness i want. Not real thin. Maybe about 1/4 inch. Takes a long time. Carved with a small moon. Then work on the belt sander.

My hands are full of holes and splinters. Missed my eyes though... I,m gaining a moon callous. The cedar dust is the eye irritant for sure. I,m sanding outside in a breeze to keep it away. My arch is more than a normal fiddle. The planks are 2 inches thick, so the arch makes quite a hump. Tomorrow is hump day...
