Inside my book diddley bow

I made this earlier today. The book is a 1965 oxford university calendar, and because 1965 ended a while ago it is entirely useless to anyone as a book any more,. I hollowed it out a while ago but didn't have anything to keep in it, so now it's a diddley bow.

    It only takes about 20 minutes to hollow out a book. The trick is to glue the sides first so the pages all stick together and then you can just rip right through loads of pages at a time with a stanley knife- unless you want to make in look all neat, then it would take ages!

    I'd say you are due extra credit for originality!! No easy feat just hollowing out the book, done that before, now I wish I still had it!
