  • Well, thank you! I never learned the trick of playing both simultaneously. I, at least, cannot bend a note on harp when it sits on a rack in front of my face, so it may as well be used as a bridge. I removed the guts and replaced them with a strip of cigar box lining. It's bent under the pressure, but really the whole thing is rather rough. It's a short scale, about 19 inches. Still, it sounds pretty good, tuned at AEA. Re. the sound hole, butterfly just popped into my head. Most sound holes I see on CBN are smaller, f-holes and small circles.
  • Is that like the cigar box version of a vocoder? How DO you play the harmonica while strumming the guitar, or am I mistaken in thinking you have a harmonica as a bridge? I love the sound hole! I just saw a bunch of creative soundholes in photos of dulcimers, but haven't seen any like this on a cbg.
