Thank you JR I was going to add a piece to the back of the neck for more support but now I see your suggestion I now have a new game plan Thank you all so very much and please do not stop with the suggestions
Thank you I will see is I can raise it up by shimming it under the bracing I placed in the body. If not I might need to back up and start over on the neck OH LORD I HOPE NOT LOL
Vince, in my opinion it works better if it's somewhat higher than the body. This lets the bridge be taller, and makes it easier to strum and/or pick the strings. Also, the general suggestion is the distance under the string to the first fret (if fretted) is about a dime thick; at the 12th fret about a quarter. Mine don't always work out to those heights or actions, but for a fretted guitar they're good targets. I don;t think it makes as much difference for an unfretted design.
Well thank you it is my first and will not be my last I am going to be putting in my pickup and related jack and volume knob very soon. I do however have a question on my fret board. does it need to me higher at the body of the guitar or can it be flush???

Good comments JR - thanks for helping!
You could thin out you dado cut in the neck a little more.
Then cut slot in box all the way to the bottom front side only.
run a second piece underneath to fill the gap extend it out the front to make a heel
You can see it in this pic
Or if you did not put any fret wire in
add a fret board on top
see pic below
Couple options.
Hope this helps
looking great keep building!!!
