Tried a few new ideas out on this build.
1. A new version of 3D printed tuners I found on the internet; didn't realized the go the wrong direction until I strung it up. That's going to drive me nuts.
2. I went with 17 frets so I can work on learning an instrumental version of Scarborough Fair.
3. Tried out a new approach to sound holes using a hexagonal insert and pattern.
4. No more machine screws and nuts as I used deck screws to hold it all together.
Don't know if I will keep the nickel wound strings, I've become partial to flourocarbon fishing line.

I love questions BrianQ!
1. I'm trying to get a stiffer build. With my playing style I like alternating between my first and ring fingers with my one finger chords. And when I use my ring finger I torque the neck more and if it bends the chord, it doesn't sound right. If I pull the strings and put on fishing line ones, it pretty much goes away. I thought the problem might be the support bar in the middle. Now I think it's the neck block. Back to the drawing board.
2. I'm working on an instrumental version of Scarborough Fair which needs 17 frets, my builds are typically 15. I have a 17 fret CBG with fishing line strings that I have been using, but thick fishing line strings don't do well with individual notes higher up the neck. Steel strings work much better, so I had to make a new CBG.
What made you go with wound strings this time?
