I made a store bought neck into a 'cbg' way back. Some folks like them, especially if they play plugged in a lot. I am not too fond of them, although you did a nice job.
I think truly home made sixes are beyond my skill and tool set.
I would kind of like to make a home made box, a good sized box and mount a store bought neck with 3 on each side tuners.
