I used two tobacco sticks for the neck on this one, and a third for the body. Very fun to play!

  • Yup, or whatever other hardwood that was on hand. Had to be durable to withstand weather and weight
  • Hmmm...coool idea...got rele's in Kentucky, hafta ask them to score me sum...mmm..hickory and chestnut huh?

  • Got it!  Cool.  Thanks for the explanation.  Great idea for necks - usability and theme.   And just right to leave the points as you did.   Those sticks might sell to cbg folk.

  • I used two sticks, which is why it is split like it is. The sticks are cut at an angle on each end so they are easier to jam in the ground and slide stalks onto when harvesting tobacco. I left the head stock like that so people around here would know what I used lol. Also those sticks are made of oak, hickory, chestnut, or whatever the sawmill had on hand, so they are hard as a rock.
  • I see that you are from Kentucky.  I like it except for maybe the head stock.  I am wondering...  tobacco sticks?   What are they and do they have that split at the top?   Enlighten me.
