Blue'n'gold beauty

This is the slimmer of the two, tapered from 24mm to 20mm, and such a good fit I cannot shake it off. Almost icy tone- needs a little softening perhaps, but still lovely!

  • Dave makes and sells some beauties and so does your UK guy.

I am set on slides for right now.  I also use a socket and a bone and brass from CBN member Randy (brain lock- can not think of Randy's last name right now.)   That big slide from Dave has a closed end and makes a dandy shot glass.

  • Hi Uncle- both were made by a potter here in the UK, goes by the eBay name of Ark48. A lot of his stuff has blues-type quotes on (I could be wrong, but I believe he actually has one with 'Woke up this morning'), but there's usually some cloudiness happening, and he does use gold leaf. I don't know if he'd ship, but if you don't ask you don't get.

Strangely, the only pics of Dave's I could find were ones a grateful customer had posted on CBN!
  • Nice to see Uncle. I'm off to the studio to try some more. This inspires me. Now how did I do that...

  • Wow, an icy beauty.  Do you see the golden eagle?  Who made this?   Did you find any of Dave Lynas's slides?  It ain't easy, he puts up a lot of pics.

  • Beautiful!
