  • Alwayved.s a good goal in my book.  Achieved.

  • Yup John, aged brass door catch did the trick. I was really trying for the look of a Cbg that was made 75 years ago and left in an attic or trunk somewhere and just discovered.
  • Brass from the start.   Maybe.  Extra cool for guitar.  Looks like a door closer tail piece,

  • It was a hubcap that was never chromed-it looks like brass. It is thick so the volume is not loud but sounds great.Your right about the Terraplane. Its gonna be hard to top that one. I always give anything wood or metal a good tap. If metal has a chimey sound-its good. I would avoid anything that just goes "thud" unless its for an electric guitar.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • Neat.  Hard to beat the Terraplane.

I've thought about doing this style of cutout and hubcap or catbowl placement.  How do they sound?
