Huntz N Sam CBG #38 is a 6-string acoustic-electric resonator guitar on a very limited availability La Flor Dominicana Salomones box. This unusual box is huge and perfect for the buyer who really wanted six strings! (Six strings??? What on earth are you going to do with all those extras??) The neck is Spectraply for strength without a truss rod. Unlike previous builds, we did not re-section the neck blank for maximum color pop. We chose to leave it intact for strength. It has a 1-11/16 nut width like a Gibson and is fully tapered and rounded for playability and bolts-on for transportability. The cherry fretboard has a 24-3/4" scale and is bound with ebony. The aluminum reso cone is protected by a hand cut brass cover plate -no CNC here! The single coil pickup and piezo transducer feed through the selector switch and separate tone and volume controls. White pearloid fret markers and white side dots, geared tuners, bone nut and buffalo horn bridge, aluminum neck plate and external tailpiece complete the CBG. The strings are Ernie Ball Super Slinkys 42-32-24-16-11-9, tuning like a standard guitar. When not playing this CBG, please back the strings off to reduce the load on the reso cone.
