Moon cakes are a type of Chinese cake that come out around August -September every year to celebrate the Harvest festival (I believe).They are given to friends and relatives as gifts.They contain various bean paste,mixed nut,lotus,durian mixtures,usually with an egg yolk inside and wrapped in pastry.A bit of an aquired taste,but just thinking about it is making me drool (a little).I just scored 2 similar tins the other day,want to find out about a samisen or similar instruments to make with them.You should try one,they only come out at this time of the year.
