Made sure the cone was flat for the body. Actually, it didn't quite fit back in the hole. So I gently curled the edge of the cone up. Seemed like it didn't seat fully all the way around, especially cause there are only 4 screws. But in a few hours it settled nice and tight all around. I strung it up even before putting the reso cover back on. The sound was tremendous, much improved. Oh yeah, I'm sure it helped that I cleaned the cone with soap and water, soaking in the sink like a dirty dish. There was all kinds of junk in there when I pulled the cone out.
