    I can't see for sure, but in your photo, it looks like maybe you used a guitar tuner for your 5th string tuner. Is this correct?  If so, how did you mount it? Did you add some wood to the side of your neck between the 4th and 5th fret, and then drill a couple of holes, one for the shaft and one for string access to the middle of the tuner shaft? I am trying to build my first 5-string banjo using a cigar box with pan resonator. But I don;t have a 5th string tuner and was wondering how I best to use a standard guitar tuner with a mid-shaft string hole. Any suggestions?
