Home Grown Neck Blanks And Fret Boards

Just cut and planed some neck blanks and fret boards for future builds. From left to right - black walnut fret boards about 19" long. Butternut fret boards about 36" and some butternut neck blanks also about 36" long. I still have quite a bit of that butternut but getting a bit low on black walnut.

  • I have a lot of the butternut left Uncle John. My buddy gave me two planks a little over 6 feet long. It's 8' wide and 1 1/2" thick. Email if you want some I'm open to trades. Don't have a lot of walnut left but I expect to get a couple cherry planks soon. 

    The butternut has some curl to it when it's sanded and finished. I used it on the Frank Zappa and Little Red Slider guitars.
