HogsHead Amp, the cigar barrel was a gift from my good friend Uncle John. 2.5 watt amp, 3 1/2" Sony speaker, Strat volume knob, led on/off, external 9v battery tray. It has a little story on the barrel about how in the early 1900's they transported tobacco in large (48"x30"dia.) wooden barrels called HogsHeads, each barrel weighed upwards of 1,000 pounds. Kinda a cool story I was not aware of. Thanks for the cigar barrel John, I hope I did it proud.

That's cool, I actually have a neck in the glue up stage now and the plan is a 4 banger (my first). I have some really nice mandolin tuners that I can use for it so we'll see how it goes and if I am in a 4 string mood the day it gets put together ;-)
That qualifies above and beyond as something cool. I am really glad I gave it to you, Pat.
Hey, the Padron box you gave me is 80% done, I have screwed up plenty, but if you stand back in low light and squint your eyes, it may be that my screw ups will not show. I hope to string it up this weekend.
Thanks Thomas, I had not seen one either. I'm not sure where John picked it up, he gave it to me and said "here do something cool with this" so I was hoping it looked ok. It sounds really good as the barrel walls are fairly thick and it resonates a very low powerful tone for such a small amp. I just finished it up this morning around 6:00 a.m. so I haven't run it through it's paces totally. This is one of my amps that is def. NFS.

Thanks Wes.

Pat, the Padron has 4 tuner holes drilled. Will start out GDgd- who knows where it will end up. I do like threes.
Thanks John, the stamp of approval is what I was hoping for. It sounds really good!
I look forward to seeing the Padron git, I'm sure it will look good when said and done. 3 string or 4 string???

Thanks Craig! 2.5 watt Artec amp from Ben and the speaker is a Sony boombox salvage.
Pretty sweet! What are it's guts?

That's a really cool amp Maddog. Never seen one of those "kegs". Great build, how does it sound?
