I forget the entire story, but back when I was living in Harlan, I went to the local lumber yard and they had some 1/4 inch plywood that had delaminated and split into two pieces of 1/8 inch plywood. They sold it to me cheap and it made some great boxes and big box guitars. Even after a hundred mile move, I still have one good sized piece. Your plywood looks like mine.
