You can see all the tuners are up on the headstock.The 5th string goes over the fith fret and down in a small hole and runs under the fretboard to the headstock So you don't have that pesky tuner sticking out of the side of the neck. It's not finished yet.

I made the mistake of putting a friction tuner on mine....Should have sprung for the geared model. I like this approach; I saw it on a banjo forum somewhere....
