  • Worth A LOT imho. Wish I could say more but I'm rather ignorant on such... what a beauty. DeArmond pups rock! -Glenn

  • .....it's a sweet guitar Burt I bet if it's a player it's worth at less a few hundred....its at least worth what you paid, it looks like you had good judgment!...Nice find! Great project!

  • Hello everyone, I need some help on this one. This came in the shop today and I was immediately interested in it. Mainly because it looked like it had been played a lot. (I always prefer that over pristine, tells me it is a good playable guitar). It also looked very original, and I was drawn to the vintage aftermarket pick up. We plugged it in, and it didn't work. I was getting ready to pass on it when the guy dropped the price way down and i decided to risk it. It took me about an hour and my usual cursing during soldering, but I got it going and man was I happy. The pickups are 1960's DeArmond "toaster style" and they are hot. The also have the original small pin volume and tone control knobs. The back has fairly long crack in the back but the back still feels stiff and sturdy. After research it is a 1956 Harmony blonde Arch top with original finish that shows a few nicks and normal wear. The neck is straight as an arrow. This guitar has been played a lot. I am already getting some requests to price this thing. So, what is it worth?
