I had an old broomstick (or maybe mop handle) lying around that needed to become a fretless CBG. 25.5" scale with aluminum nut and tailpiece. A piece of threaded rod forms the saddle on a red oak bridge. Fret markers are wood burned into the side of the broomstick.

Thanks for the feedback! I drew the Texas shape on the box and started with a drill press to, basically, perforate the shape just inside the pencil lines to make cutting out the rough shape easier. Then I used a coping saw for the main cutting and needle files got the intricate shapes just right. Just took a little time and patience.
